Top 6 Designer-Inspired Etsy Finds

Blog, Top Blog

I’ve shopped on Etsy for a few years, but something about being stuck at home and wanting to support smaller businesses has me spending way more time, not to mention money on Etsy.

I have started looking at some designer-inspired items and have a few favorites to share. Keep in mind, I am a fan of the real deal, these aren’t necessarily fake designer items (yes, all my handbags are real, and yes, I have spent way too much money), but they are fun ways to recycle books and add some extra flair to them.

Here Are My Favorite Designer-Inspired Etsy Finds:

  1. This Graphic Diamonds And Skull ~Chanel T-Shirt that is super soft. I’ve actually bought three shirts from this shop, and she is super professional and I have gotten a ton of compliments on this shirt. She also has some fun graphic tees of some old school bands, and other designer-inspired brands.
  2. Designer-Inspired Coffee Table Books. As a new homeowner, the amount of money I have already spent on “pretty” coffee table books that I have no intention of reading is quite sickening. I found these books, where you can choose the size (my designer said to make sure they are the same size and this shop was able to accommodate that request) and what brand. I also love that she recycles old books to make these.
  3. Designer-Inspired Screw Ring. This ring comes in a few metal color options and is subtle and super cute.
  4. Designer-Inspired Dior Sweatshirt. I love this sweatshirt, it’s so soft and cozy, and I’m really into tie-dye right now, so it’s a keeper!
  5. YSL Designer-Inspired Sweatshirt. This one has good reviews and comes in a sand/tan color or black, to give you options. My only hesitation with a lot of Etsy purchases is the $10 shipping, like on this one, but it’s definitely still cute and casual.
  6. Red-Stripe Headband With Knots. This comes in 3 colors and is a Gucci-inspired headband, if you’re into headbands.

I Tried Emsculpt In Castle Rock: Here’s What I Thought

Blog

There are so many fads and trends out there, it’s hard to know which ones work and are worth the money. Emsculpt is one of those that has pretty eye-catching statistics about toning muscle and giving you abs (among other areas they offer to help).

I recently tried Emsculpt in Castle Rock at The Skin Company, and here’s what I thought and how it worked.

What is Emsculpt? In their own words, Emsculpt is the FDA-cleared, non-invasive device that can help you tone and shape your body into the figure you deserve. It uses specialized high-intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) energy to trigger results that diet and exercise can’t provide.

  • Improve abdominal muscle definition
  • Lift and shape the buttocks
  • Sculpt and define the abs
  • Strengthen the glutes

It essentially builds and tones muscle where you need it most. For me, that was my stomach/abdomen. Give me that six-pack please and thank you.

Emsculpt For My Abdomen

I decided to get Emsculpt for my abs, to help build and tone the muscle, or lack thereof there. My abs have always had stubborn fat and I don’t know if there are enough crunches in the world to balance my wine intake.

It uses HIFEM technology to penetrate the skin to deliver 20,000 supramaximal contractions, which is basically 20,000 crunches in the span of 30 minutes. It’s like working out without actually working out. Imagine if you worked out on top of this crazy treatment – mind.blown.

What Does Treatment Consist Of?

My treatment consisted of four 30-minute treatments/session at The Skin Company in downtown Castle Rock. You go into a private room and let the technician size up your area to see if you can use one or two paddles. For me, they used two, which is like double time (and it’s the same price).

The machine goes up to an intensity of 100 – for my first session, we got up to 75. It’s slightly uncomfortable but doesn’t hurt.

Emsculpt Statistics:

These are all numbers given by the company, but I definitely think they are compelling and worth sharing.

  • 19% reduction in subcutaneous fat
  • 16% increase in muscle mass
  • Average reduction of 4.4cm
  • 96% satisfaction with treatment results

Is There Any Downtime?

Nope, none, zero. After each of my sessions, I ran errands, met friends for lunch, came back home to work, or even hit up a workout class at Shred415.

When Will You See Results?

I think the standard answer for everyone is that this will vary. For me, I noticed some soreness – like I had just done 20,000 crunches – each day following the treatment. You will see the best results in about 2-4 weeks after treatment, and it will continue to improve (i.e. see more results) for several weeks following your treatments.

My Pro Tip When Doing Emsculpt

I always take my own before and after photos, whether it’s for BOTOX, Emsculpt or a juice cleanse. It’s not that I don’t trust others to do it, but I want to see for myself, and know that the photos haven’t been doctored or edited. I highly recommend this even for something like teeth whitening.

How Much Does Emsculpt In Castle Rock Cost?

Again this varies based on holiday specials, etc. but your consultation is free. Most places will also let you try the device, so you know what it entails (again, not painful) while discussing realistic expectations and if it’s the right treatment for you.

For Emsculpt in Castle Rock, it’s $3,000 for your initial treatment, which is always four complete sessions. They also offer maintenance packages (like before a beach vacation, which I highly recommend).

Top 5 Amazon Purchases: October

Blog

Another month of social distancing down, and more Amazon purchases I loved, so wanted to share them here. These are all my honest opinions, so check them out, and if you have any must-buys from Amazon, leave me a comment.

Eat Drink Nap Coffee Table Book – Part of decorating our new house are little things like coffee table books, and this one has been sold out for months, but I finally snagged it on Amazon a few weeks ago.

Designer Inspired Silver and Gold Cable Wire Ring – I’m not usually one for designer-inspired anything, but this David Yurman look-a-like ring is gorgeous and for $21, it’s a steal, even if you have no interest in David Yurman.

Yeti Dog Bowls – Yes, my dog is spoiled, but having his food and water dishes always out, I wanted them to look clean and go with our decor. We are big Yeti fans anyways, so these were perfect. We got two in black, and they were delivered super fast with Amazon Prime.

Bartender Kit – We have really gotten into making our own cocktails, especially since we are spending way more time at home these days. This bartender kit was so cheap and it has everything we need to feel like professional mixologists in our new basement. This cocktail set would also make a great gift.

DenTek Night Mouth Guard – I grind my teeth a lot at night, but a mouthguard from the dentist wasn’t covered by my insurance. My old dentist in Houston recommended this $22 Amazon mouth guard, and I have (surprisingly) worn it every night and it has helped considerably. Both Jason and I have this now, and it comes with a blue case to store it in, making it easy for travel.

Check out my top 5 Amazon purchases last month.

With the holidays quickly approaching, I would so appreciate if you would consider using my links for any of your holiday purchases or message me for specific links.
